Join us for a sizzling showdown at Kochendorfer Brewing Company!  Get ready to spice up your Fall with our Chili Cook-Off on November 4 from 2-4pm. Sample mouthwatering chili recipes, enjoy craft beer, and cheer for your favorite chili maestro.

1. Entry fee is $20.00 and will go into a pot. Winner of best chili chosen based on confidential judges evaluation will receive the prize money.  Limiting to 15 contestants.  2. Tasting wristbands are $5 the day of the event 13 and under $1. The band includes a tasting from each chili entry and two voting tickets. Ticket one will be used to vote for People's Choice and Ticket two will be used to vote for best themed table/costume.  3.There will be three categories

• Best overall chili - Winner wins prize money and a medal

• People's Choice- Prize ($50gift basket/cookware) plus a medal

• Best Themed setup/table- $25 gift certificate and a medal

 Rules-

• Contestants must be use safe food handling techniques

• Food must arrive and maintain 140 degrees

• Serving utensils must be supplied with each entry

• A lid or covering must be used when submitting entry to judges

• Chili entries must be served at 3pm for judging

• Themed decor/costuming is encouraged and contestants are responsible for setup and clean up of their station

• KBC will provide tables, tasting cups, spoons, tickets for categories 2 and 3, access to electricity, and ballot boxes.

• Contestants can sell a bowl of their chili for $1. Contestants are required to provide change for purchases. Contestants are also required to provide serving dishes and utensils for purchased chili.

• All entries must be pre-cooked prior and presented ready to eat.

• Clean up can begin after Award announcements at 4pm.
